The West Bank
Valley of the Kings · sail to Edfu
The royal tombs and the Colossi in the morning, then cast off south. Lunch on deck as the river narrows through the Esna lock.

Edfu & Kom Ombo
Temple of Horus · Sobek
By carriage to the falcon temple of Horus, the best-preserved in Egypt. By dusk, moored beneath the twin temple of Kom Ombo, floodlit from the deck.
Day04
Arrive Aswan
Philae · The High Dam
The softest light in Egypt. Sail to island-bound Philae by launch, the High Dam, and tea above the cataract before farewell.

Sailing South

Through the Esna lock and on to Edfu's temple of Horus by carriage, returning at sunset.

Kom Ombo
Sobek & Horus
A morning at leisure on deck, the twin temple by late afternoon, floodlit after dark.
Day05
Arrive Aswan
Philae · Nubian Aswan
Philae by launch, the High Dam, and a felucca at golden hour beneath the cataract.
Day06
Abu Simbel (optional)
Dawn flight south
For those who linger — a dawn flight to the great rock temples of Ramses II, returning by afternoon.
Day07
Return North
Farewell dinner
Begin the sail back toward Luxor, a final evening on the river, and a farewell dinner under the stars.
